Paul Baker has lived and worked from his studio at Crag Lake since 1988. He has always been a “builder of things”, which has developed into making inventive sculptures out of recycled tools that focus on the form and movement within each subject.
As a lifelong tradesman, I take great pleasure in transforming cheap and broken metal tools as well as metal found at the dump into art. (no snap ons were harmed). I draw my inspiration from the nature that surrounds me at my rural Yukon home.
